Flash Flood Warning Issued For Bergen, Passaic Counties

It is in effect until 8 p.m. Fair Lawn, Ridgewood, and Wayne 'will experience flooding,' the National Weather Service said.

WAYNE, NJ — A flash flood warning was issued for Passaic and Bergen counties until 8 p.m.

Heavy rain was falling on North Jersey Saturday afternoon. Up to one inch of rain fell within the last hour.

Wayne, Paramus, Ridgewood, Hawthorne, and Fair Lawn will experience flooding, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.

The NWS urges drivers to turn around when they encounter a flooded road.

Rain is forecast to continue, with a thunderstorm possible after 3 a.m. Sunday.
