Former Wayne Hills Star Joins Memphis After Rutgers Fraud Scheme
All-state, two-way player Brendan Devara said he is 'blessed' to commit playing for the University of Memphis.

WAYNE, NJ — Former Wayne Hills starting quarterback Brendan Devara has committed to playing collegiate football at Memphis.
Devara, now a linebacker, announced his commitment to Memphis on Twitter Friday. He said he was "blessed" to join the University of Memphis Tigers. The university is an NCAA Division I school. It competes in the American Athletic Conference.
Devara played at ASA College, a junior college in Brooklyn, last season after he was dismissed from the Rutgers University football team in July 2018 for allegedly violating team rules. Devara said playing football at the junior college level was a wake-up call for him.
