Fundraiser Established For Family Of Wayne Fire Victims
A GoFundMe page has already raised over $25,000 for the family, and identified two of the victims as a father and daughter.
WAYNE, NJ — A GoFundMe page is raising money for the family of three people who died in a Wayne house fire on Monday evening. Over 200 people have already donated more than $25,000, which will go toward the cost of funeral services and hospital bills, according to the organizer.
The page, organized by a family friend, along with reports from Pix11, NJ.com and Northjersey.com, have also identified the victims as a Wayne man, Carlos Gutierrez, his 34-year-old daughter, Katherinne, and her partner.
Alyssa Scarnaty is the organizer of the fundraiser, and wrote that she works with a relative of the family, named Pamela. Neither immediately responded to a request for comment.

"Pamela, her sisters, and her mother are mourning the loss of their sister, father, and brother in law," she wrote. "They were active members of society and will be early missed by the community, friends and family."
The Passaic County Prosecutor is investigating the cause of a fatal house fire on Jackson Avenue that killed three people Monday evening. Though the office hasn't yet released the identities of the three people who died, the fundraiser, which includes a statement from the family, according to the organizer, provides some insight into who they were. "My sister was only 34 years old, she was a registered nurse at Hackensack Meridian Health where she made people laugh, made friendships, took care and advocated for her patients," wrote the victim's sister, identified as Pam.
"Fire and pain is what is left in our family's heart because we as the four sisters left lost a sister, our mother with 4 children lost her husband, our niece who is only 4 years old is now left without a father and a mother. There is no amount of tears or words to describe what we are feeling right now."
The investigation led by the Prosecutor's Office is ongoing, and Pix11 reported that agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Newark office, and the New Jersey State Fire Marshal's Office, were at the scene on Tuesday.
A representative from the ATF didn't immediately respond to a request for comment, nor did the Prosecutor's Office.
This is a developing story, and will be updated as more information becomes available.
