Haledon Woman Dies After Being Hit By NJ Transit Bus
A 67-year-old Haledon woman was hit by the bus on Thursday evening. Her identity has not been released.
HALEDON, NJ — A 67-year-old woman is dead after she was hit by a New Jersey Transit bus while walking across an intersection in Haledon, the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office said.
The woman, a Haledon resident, was walking across Haledon Avenue near the intersection with Belmont Avenue when she was hit, officials said. Haledon police responded to the scene around 4:24 p.m., and the woman was transported to St. Joseph's University Medical Center in Paterson shortly after.
She was pronounced dead at 6:13 p.m., officials said. She hasn't yet been identified.

The driver of the bus remained at the scene, where they presented a "valid license," officials said.
