Happy Mother’s Day From Angela Bussi
"You have infinite qualities that I consider myself lucky to possess."

In celebration of Mother's Day on Sunday May 13, we asked Patch readers to write a letter to their mother and let us deliver it. This is Angela Bussi's letter to her mom:
Mom,
It’s hard to fully articulate in words how much you mean to me. All my life you have been someone I look up to, for endless reasons. For one, you taught me resilience. Nothing ever seemed so bad, simply because you taught me that all tough things come to an end if you allow them to. Let things go and move on. I can’t thank you enough for that advice, and I hold that to my core values, always.
You taught me to never give up, as any parent would. You taught me to always honor a commitment and never half-ass anything. Now, anytime I want to give up, I think twice.
You engrained self love and body positivity in me for as long as I can remember, even when it wasn’t always easy to believe your own advice. You never let a day go by without reminding me of my beauty. Thank you.
Thank you for reminding me that our past is not our future. Our past does not define us, and there’s always room for improvement. The brightest sunshine comes from the darkest of days.
Thank you for always giving me space to be myself, even though you’re always the first person to want to throw in your opinion.
You have infinite qualities I consider myself lucky to possess. I am truly blessed to be your daughter, and I’ll love you for all of my days. River deep, mountain high. Happy Mother’s Day!
Love always and forever,
Angela Bussi
