Louis Deise Jr., 92, Wayne WWII Veteran, Church Founder

Deise was a charter member of Our Lady of the Valley R.C. Church.

WAYNE, NJ — Louis Vincent Deise Jr., 92, of Paramus, a 70-year township resident, died Thursday.

Before retiring, Deise owned and operated his own trucking business,his obituary states.

He was a charter member and active parishioner of Our Lady of the Valley R.C. Church where he was a long-time usher.

He was a Marine veteran of World War II, receiving a Purple Heart after being wounded after the American flag was raised during the Battle of Iwo Jima.

He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Madeline "Lynn" (nee Ochecki).

He is survived by his daughters, Joanie Baum, and her husband, Robert, and Susan Deise, and her partner, Jerri; grandchildren, Brian, Rachel, Josh, and Alex; and many nieces, great nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home, 1 Veterans Dr., Paramus, NJ 07652-4100.
