WAYNE, NJ - Say hello to Nahla.
After Nahla's owner passed away, the 8-year-old hound-mix was turned over to the animal shelter but hopes to find a new family soon, according to the shelter.
She is house trained, walks great on a leash, knows her commands and is cat friendly, according to the shelter. Nahla also seems to get along good with other dogs, but the shelter recommends doing a meet and greet appointment to make sure everyone gets along.

"As soon as you see Nahla, she’ll let you know how pleased she is to meet you," the shelter said. "If you have a treat, she will sit on command and give you her paw. Now she craves a home of her own and desperately needs a hero. Make plans to meet Nahla soon and see for yourself what love looks like wrapped in fur."
For further information, call 973-694-0767 during the shelter's adoption hours, which are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6 to 8 p.m., and from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
