Passaic County To Participate in State Emergency Drill
Drill will last until Saturday, state officials said.

Passaic County will see an increased state police presence as an emergency drill begins Tuesday, officials said.
More uniformed state troopers and emergency workers are expected at road, rail and waterway areas throughout the area, according to the state’s Office of Emergency Management. Officials said the drill is not expected to cause any traffic delays.
The large-scale exercise will involve first responders at the local, county and state levels and last until Saturday, officials said.

Six other counties are participating in the exercise. They are: Bergen, Hudson, Essex, Morris, Union and Middlesex. The seven counties are members of the state’s Urban Area Security Initiative.
