AT&T Adds New Cell Site In Wayne
The new site aims to provide better coverage along Route 23 and Route 202, according to company officials.
WAYNE, NJ — AT&T announced a number of new cell sites across New Jersey, which the company says will "enhance the Garden State's mobile broadband coverage."
The company added new sites in 10 counties, including three sites in Passaic County, with one going up in Wayne.
That site is expected to provide coverage along Route 23 and Route 202, the company said. Other Passaic County sites include one in Clifton and one in Ringwood.

"We continue to invest in our network in New Jersey so that our customers have a great experience," said Joseph Divis, interim president, AT&T New Jersey. "These new sites are an important way we can provide better coverage for first responders, businesses, and residents in these communities."
The upgrades are said to also benefit public safety and first responders on FirstNet, the dedicated communication platform used by New Jersey's first responders.

FirstNet is built with AT&T in a public-private partnership with the First Responder Network Authority, the company said. It's designed to "help first responders in New Jersey and across the country connect to the critical information they need – when they need it – so they can keep themselves and the communities they serve safer."
Other counties receiving new cell sites within the last few months include:
- Atlantic
- Burlington
- Essex
- Hunterdon
- Middlesex
- Monmouth
- Morris
- Ocean
- Somerset
