Wayne Alliance Annual Fundraiser

Dear Neighbors,

Once again, we call upon the community for support during our annual fundraiser. On April 12, 2019, the Alliance, in cooperation with the Harlem MagicMasters, will host the annual basketball fundraiser at Wayne Valley High School.

Our team will have the opportunity to play against a group of some of the USA’s most accomplished basketball players who are gifted athletes, goodwill ambassadors of the sport and active youth mentors.

The Wayne Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse, a volunteer organization in Wayne since 1990, appreciates YOU! People like you allow us to continue bringing alcohol and drug prevention education to the community; including our Stigma-Free initiatives planned for 2019.

Thanks to continued unselfish support and generous contributions from individuals and businesses like yours along with an outstanding group of volunteers and a grant from the Governor’s Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, we were able to bring our prevention message to over 4000 Wayne residents in 2018! Our programs begin with B.A.B.E.S. in Second Grade, Life Skills and L.E.A.D. in Middle School and SMART MOVES in the Boys & Girls Club and continue with our Senior Citizen & Community Awareness events throughout the township of Wayne.

In 2019, we project to bring additional awareness regarding the dangers of mental health stigma and its connection to alcohol, Rx drug and other substance abuse to Wayne residents.
