Wayne Begins Collecting Storm Debris: What To Know
The township offered guidance for those looking to get rid of downed limbs and other debris.
WAYNE, NJ — Township officials announced that storm debris cleanup is set to begin, and offered guidance for residents looking to clear downed limbs and other debris.
In a series of tweets, the township announced they would only be collecting storm debris from township trees. Any branches from private trees that were cut up by the utility company are the homeowner's responsibility.
"Do not drag loose tree limbs, branches or other vegetative waste from your propert to the curb. It will not be collected," officials said.

Storm debris from private trees must be four-inches in diameter or smaller, and cut into a maximum of four-foot lengths, and tied in bundles or placed in paper bags or a vegetative waste container. It should be put out with regular vegetative waste, officials said.
Large debris must be disposed of privately, they added.
