Wayne Lottery Player Hits The Jackpot, Wins $1.7 Million

A lottery ticket sold at a 7-Eleven in Wayne matched all five numbers drawn in Saturday's Jersey Cash 5 drawing.

WAYNE, NJ — Sure, you may have had a good weekend. But did you win a million dollars?

One New Jersey lottery player can answer that question with a "yes" after Saturday's Jersey Cash 5 jackpot, and they just so happen to be from Wayne Township.

The ticket, sold at 7-Eleven #39202, 1217 Route 23 South, in Wayne, matched all five numbers from the Saturday drawing, netting the winning player over $1.7 million.

The winning numbers were: 01, 02, 15, 28, and 31, and the XTRA number was 02. The retailer will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for the winning ticket sold.

There were other lottery winners from the weekend as well, with one Camden County player winning $100,000 in the Jersey Cash 5 drawing, and a Hudson County lottery player winning $50,000 during Saturday's Powerball drawing.
