Wayne QB Transfers From Boston College To Rutgers
Johnny Langan, who attended Bergen Catholic High School, he was named 2017 New Jersey Player of the Year.
WAYNE, NJ — A township native, one of the highest rated quarterbacks to come out of New Jersey in recent years, transferred to Rutgers University from Boston College.
Johnny Langan, who played at Bergen Catholic High School, signed his letter of intent to play for the Scarlet Knights on National Signing Day Wednesday, Rutgers announced.
The 6-foot-3, 225-pound Langan was named the 2017 New Jersey Player of the Year by News 12 and led the Crusaders to their first Non-Public, Group 4 championship since 2004.

Langan passed for more than 4,700 yards and ran for another 1,400 in his high school career. He was rated the No. 26 dual-threat quarterback in the country and No. 1 in New Jersey.
