Wayne Schools Virtual Due To 'Icy' Road Conditions
In-person learning has been canceled Friday, but district schools will still hold classes.
WAYNE, NJ — In-person learning is canceled for Friday in Wayne Township, district officials announced prior to 7 a.m. Virtual learning will take place, however.
Wayne officials made the decision because of "icy road conditions" as a result of the latest winter storm.
According to the latest National Weather Service totals, Wayne received at least 2.5 inches of snow by Thursday afternoon.

Due to the icy road conditions today, Friday, February 19th, all Wayne Township Public schools will operate on a virtual day schedule for staff and students. There will be no in person instruction all student cohorts will meet virtually. pic.twitter.com/mpDotWW0nI

A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 7 p.m. Friday. The NWS expects slippery road conditions during the morning commute, and possibly even evening commutes.
