Wayne Valley Percussion Ensemble To Play Virtual Festival

Saturday's Necessary Noise Festival will feature other high school and college ensembles, including NYU and University of Michigan.

WAYNE, NJ —The Wayne Valley High School Percussion Ensemble will be performing in the virtual Necessary Noise Festival on Saturday. The event will feature high school and college percussion ensembles from across the country and be streamed live on YouTube.

Wayne will perform in the afternoon concert, which is scheduled from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wayne's timeslot is listed as somewhere between 3:30 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. William Paterson University is scheduled just ahead of Wayne, and the University of Michigan penciled in to follow the Marching Indians.

Other ensembles scheduled to perform in the early concert are: Purchase College, Ramsey High School, Julliard Pre-College, Kean University, University of North Carolina at Pembroke, Queens College and New York University.

An evening concert, which will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., will feature the likes of: Rowan University, New Jersey City University, University of Manhattan School of Music, West Essex High School and Verona High School.

The Necessary Noise Festival is presented by the Verona High School Instrumental Music Department and Mantra Percussion Inc. Here is the YouTube livestream link to watch the show.
