2 ACL surgeries, but NFL dream alive for Burlington's Gillison

He tore one in high school and the other while at Misericordia University. The same Virtua Health surgeon helped get him back on the field.

Like a lot of youngsters, Sam Gillison dreamed of playing in the NFL and he worked hard toward to keep that dream alive.

His storied career at Burlington Township High School was sidetracked when he tore an ACL during a practice. When Virtua Health orthopedic surgeonDr. Sean McMillan delivered the news, Sam was devastated.

He didn't let his dream die, though, and worked hard after surgery, leading to an impressive career at Misericordia University where his name covers the record book - receiving touchdowns in a game, season, and career, receptions in a game and career, receiving yards in a game, season, and career. The record books do not note that he suffered an ACL tear to his other knee.
