2 Killed In Delaware Memorial Bridge Crash
Traffic was backed up to the New Jersey Turnpike.
SOUTH JERSEY. – Two people were killed in a crash on the Delaware Memorial Bridge on Tuesday, authorities said.
The crash happened around 3 p.m. when a disabled passenger vehicle was rear-ended by a tractor-trailer as the vehicle traveled from New Jersey to Delaware, authorities said.
The disabled vehicle – with three people inside – was pushed into the far right lane, authorities said.

Two occupants – a female driver and a male passenger in the back seat – were pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. A woman was transported to the hospital.
Only the far left lane was open to traffic on Tuesday evening. Three lanes were closed.

Significant traffic delays were reported heading south. Traffic was backed up to mile marker 6 on New Jersey Turnpike.
