Dogs Saved From West Deptford Home; 2 Arrested For Cruelty: Cops
Two West Deptford residents were arrested when a SWAT team raided their home following reports of animal cruelty, police announced.
WEST DEPTFORD, NJ — Two West Deptford residents were arrested when a SWAT team raided their home following reports of animal cruelty, police announced.
Several dogs were also rescued from the home belonging to 33-year-old Felipe Echevarria and 34-year-old Brittany M. Morgan, according to West Deptford police. The dogs are being temporarily housed at the Gloucester County Animal Shelter, police said.
Echevarria and Morgan were arrested following the execution of a knock-and-announce search warrant at their home on the 1600 block of Atkins Avenue early Thursday morning, police said.

The search warrant concluded an investigation by West Deptford police, the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office and Gloucester County Animal Control.
Echevarria and Morgan were charged with animal cruelty violations and released on summonses pending court, police said.
