Family Helping Children Of Former NJ Woman Killed In New Mexico

GLOUCESTER COUNTY, NJ — The alleged murder of a former South Jersey woman at the hands of her ex-husband has left her five children without a mother, and their family is looking to help.
An online fundraiser has been launched to benefit Jennifer Lannon, who authorities say was among four people in New Mexico who were killed by her ex-husband.
Sean Lannon, 47 of East Greenwich, is also accused of killing an East Greenwich man he knew, beating him to death with a blunt object and stealing his car to travel to New Mexico.

Lannon was arrested in St. Louis, Missouri, last week, and is scheduled to appear in court for a detention hearing on Wednesday, according to authorities.
In the Jennifer Whitman Lannon Family Fund GoFundMe, Jennifer Lannon is described as a “beloved daughter, sister and most importantly a mom to five kids,” who are currently staying with family members. Two of the children have extensive heart issues.

“This is an extremely emotional time for our family,” the organizers say in the post. “Due to relocating across the country unexpectedly, the kids were not able to bring their own personal belongings, so they are in need of basic necessities.
“On top of grieving the loss of their daughter and sister they now have to figure out how to cover any leftover funeral related expenses, medical bills for kids and the unexpected costs of caring for Jennifer’s five children.”
As of Tuesday morning, the fundraiser had raised more than $8,500.
Sean Lannon and Jennifer Lannon had three children together, according to nj.com. They moved from New Jersey to New Mexico before getting divorced in 2019.

Sean Lannon is charged with murder, burglary, murder during the commission of a robbery, murder during the commission of a burglary, robbery, possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, possession of a blunt object for an unlawful purpose, and theft of a motor vehicle.

Detectives believe there are additional witnesses who can provide crucial information to aid and further this active investigation, Hoffman said.
