Former Toys R Us Site In Deptford Under New Ownership, Now Hiring

DEPTFORD, NJ — A new retail store will soon be opening at the site of the former Toys R Us across from the Deptford Mall, and they are now hiring.

Ocean State Job Lot recently purchased the former Toys “R” Us location at 409 Almonesson Road, according to the company. It is currently hiring for 50 openings, including both full-time and part-time. Open positions include:

• Area Supervisors;
• Advertising Coordinator;
• Department Heads;
• Field Merchandiser;
• Front End Supervisors;
• Operations Supervisor;
• Maintenance Associate;
• Receiver;
• Sales Associates;
• Stock Associates; and
• Visual Merchandisers.

Ocean State Job Lot buys merchandise from manufacturers and other retailers in bulk and sells it in smaller quantities to customers with the minimum operational and distribution costs. It is based in Rhode Island and has stores throughout New England, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. This will be the first in South Jersey, and fifth in New Jersey overall.
