The following was submitted by the Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders.

The Alzheimer’s Association has teamed up with Shady Lane Nursing Home to offer a free seminar to those Caregivers who assist those living with Alzheimer’s.

The free seminar covering the topic ‘Understanding Behavior and Communication Issues’ will be held on Thursday, November 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Shady Lane Nursing Home.

Leonard Smith, a Volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Association and former Caregiver, will lead the seminar.

Gloucester County Freeholder Director Robert Damminger said, “When people can come together and learn about what they are going through as Caregivers and what they can do to improve the lives of those they care for they can feel less isolated.

"People who care for those with Alzheimer’s can connect to resources and others in their situation at this seminar.”

The program is free, but space is limited. Reserve your space RSVP by Nov. 11 by calling (856) 224-6979.
