“The Gloucester County Commission for Women serves as a fact finding and advisory Commission to the public at large regarding the concerns of women in Gloucester County and suggests and urges reforms in the law, public policy and public attitudes towards women,” Gloucester County Director Robert M. Damminger said. “We are honored to collaborate with counties across the state to celebrate the suffrage movement.”

This event will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of the women's suffrage movement, and participants will have the chance to learn about the societal, educational, and economic impact of this historic movement to modern women. Participants will network, participate in a panel and discussion sessions.

“Serving as liaison to the Gloucester County Commission for Women I have experienced first hand the work they do to ensure that women across Gloucester County are heard. This event will allow us to not only reflect on how far women have come, but also look to the future,” said Freeholder Jim Jefferson, who will speak at the event alongside six other panelists.

In addition to the panel of speakers, there will be multiple networking rooms where participants can meet and network with other women. Spots are limited and interested individuals are encouraged to register as soon as possible. This event is free of charge.
