Lower Your Insurance, Drop 2 Points—Just $10

Want to lower your car insurance costs?

Thanks to a defensive driving course offered by the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office, county residents with a driver's license can shave 5 percent and 2 points (once every five years) at a pair of six-hour classes.

The first will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. April 17 and 18 in Room 407 of the Gloucester County College Instructional Center in Deptford Township. (Enrollees must attend both nights to complete the course.)

The second will be held Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 403 of the Instructional Center. Both will be taught by Det. Nick Schock, motor vehicle crash investigator for the Prosecutor’s Office.

Classes cost $10 (payable day-of) and will be limited to 30 students. 

“During these times of stretched family budgets, we are happy to provide this opportunity for residents to lower their insurance costs while learning how to make our roadways safer,” said Gloucester County Prosecutor Sean, F. Dalton in a statement accompanying the announcement of the classes.
