Man Charged In 5 Murders In 2 States Extradited To New Jersey

GLOUCESTER COUNTY, NJ — A South Jersey man who has been charged in a murder in New Jersey and five deaths in New Mexico has been extradited to New Jersey, a spokesman for the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office said Friday morning.

Sean Lannon, 47 of East Greenwich, was arrested in St. Louis, Missouri, by members of the U.S. Marshal's St. Louis Metro Fugitive Task Force on Wednesday morning.

On Friday, he was extradited to New Jersey, and lodged in the Salem County Correctional Facility, according to Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office Spokesman Thomas Gilbert.

He will likely have his first appearance virtually on Saturday, with a detention hearing possible for next week, Gilbert said.

No information about attorney representation for Lannon was available Friday morning.

He is charged with murder, burglary, murder during the commission of a robbery, murder during the commission of a burglary, robbery, possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, possession of a blunt object for an unlawful purpose, and theft of a motor vehicle.

Lannon is accused of breaking into 66-year-old Michael Dabkowski’s East Greenwich homeon Monday and repeatedly striking him in the head with a blunt object, according to nj.com.

The four people who went missing in New Mexico and were later found deceased included Lannon's ex-wife, according to NBC 10. Lannon and the East Greenwich victim reportedly knew each other.

Detectives believe there are additional witnesses who can provide crucial information to aid and further this active investigation, Hoffman said.
