So many people had videos of her singing. Emma Snodgrass could compete with anybody, they'd say.

Then she was going to take those talents an unlikely pace: The Marines, according to nj.com. The Bridgeton teen was preparing to head to the Marine Corps’ boot camp in Paris Island, South Carolina to serve.

Both of those dreams died with her on Wednesday.

Emma Snodgrass graduated from Cumberland Regional High School in Bridgeton in the spring. On the school's Facebook page, there was post after post of Emma, showcasing her as a standout talent.

She recently performed at the Cumberland County Black Hall of Fame’s 5th Annual Talented Teens Showcase with the song “Being Good Isn’t Good Enough.”

But it was the Marines that gained her interest lately. “She was clear and set to leave,” Snodgrass’ mother, Rachael Dubois, told nj.com. "She was Semper Fi all the way.”
