Pedestrian Hit By Car, Killed On Route 42: Police

A 25-year-old Camden woman was killed after being hit by a car on Route 42 late Friday night, according to state police.

DEPTFORD, NJ — A woman was struck and killed while walking on Route 42 Friday night, according to New Jersey State Police.

Vividiana Perez, 25 of Camden, was struck by a Ford Fusion that was traveling north on Route 42 near milepost 11.7 in Deptford at about 11:14 p.m. Friday night, according to police. She was pronounced deceased on the scene.

The driver of the Fusion and the passenger were not injured. They remained on the scene, and no charges have been filed as of Monday morning, according to police.
