With the officer attempting to stop the vehicle, it pulled into a driveway on North Delsea Drive and the driver, identified as Beteta, exited and was observed staggering and using his vehicle to balance himself. The officer detected the strong odor of alcohol and Beteta said he had no driver’s license and was unaware of the vehicle’s flat tires. He was arrested. A breath test indicated a blood-alcohol level in excess of the legal limit.
A Gloucester County grand jury indicted Beteta on Oct. 10, 2012, on a fourth-degree charge of operating a motor vehicle during a period of license suspension.
Anyone who knows Beteta's whereabouts should not attempt to apprehend him. Instead, contact the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office at 856-384-5643 or Sgt. Barry Johnson of the prosecutor's office at 856-498-5485.
