GLOUCESTER COUNTY, NJ — Gloucester County officials are reminding residents to report scams or fraud to the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs.

“It’s very important to keep secure information safe from fraudulent activities,” Gloucester County Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger said. “Any scam in Gloucester County could be affecting thousands of people across the state so please report them as soon as possible.”

Through the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, residents can file consumer complaints against businesses at njconsumeraffairs.gov. Remember to identify the business, describe the program, explain the solution and include documents that will assist in the investigation.

“If businesses are not willing or able to resolve a problem directly, consumers can file a Division of Consumer Affairs to seek justice,” Gloucester County Freeholder Lyman Barnes said. “Complaints can be made anonymously so you do not have to share your information if you don’t feel comfortable doing so. The priority here is keeping consumers safe.”
