Stingy Defense, Strong Rushing Propel West Deptford Football Team

WEST DEPTFORD, NJ — The West Deptford High School football team kept its championship hopes alive behind a strong running game and an impenetrable defense Friday night.
The top-seeded Eagles shut out No. 8 Sterling, 49-0, in the quarterfinals of the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 playoffs, according to Gridiron New Jersey. The Eagles host No. 5 Delsea in the semifinals on Friday night, Nov. 15, 6 p.m.
Tyshawn Bookman ran for three touchdowns and a two-point conversion in the win, according to nj.com. Mychael Gilmore rushed for two more touchdowns, and Aaron Graeber threw a pair of touchdown passes. West Deptford improved to 8-1.
