Other programs that Yum! announced Thursday included "Makers," a program for employees who may not want to be managers but want to get leadership experience and "elevate their passion for the brand."

The company also announced that all nationwide company employees can become eligible to receive at least 24 hours of paid sick time per calendar year, starting in 2020.

Also, Yum! has a plan to make all of Taco Bell's packaging material used by customers recyclable, compostable or reusable by 2025.
