West Deptford 12-Year-Old Andrew Zappley Finishes Second on Master Chef Junior

This is the lesson 12-year-old Andrew Zappley, of West Deptford, learned when he finished second on Master Chef Junior, according to the Courier Post.

Zappley watched the nationally televised finale of the competition with his classmates in the Holy Trinity Regional School gym. Following the finish, which Zappley’s family kept quiet for eight months, his classmates presented him with a glass trophy, according to the report.

Zappley competed for five weeks in Los Angeles last year, cooking everything from steak to sushi to beef cheek ravioli, according to the report.

Nathan won the $100,000 grand prize with lamb chops that can “revolutionize restaurant menus,” according to the judges.
