West Deptford Residents Sound Off on Snow Plowing

How have the roads in your neighborhood fared during the blizzard? Find out what your neighbors said on Facebook.

Winter Storm Jonas brought between two to three feet of snow to New Jersey causing approximately 90,000 power outages and coastal flooding in the southern part of the state.

As of Monday, the State of Emergency has been lifted, power has been restored to most of N.J. and bridges and tunnels to New York City have been reopened.

Still, hundreds of New Jersey school districts announced closures and motorists are warned to continue driving with extra caution.

We asked Patch readers if they were happy with the plowing done on their block. Here’s what you said:

  • “We got plowed in here at Greenfields a few times and saw a plow just come by again and push snow high into a neighbor’s corner. There needs to be a dump for all this snow.”
  • “Sherwood West looks great -- with the exception of the middle school driveway. It is always forgotten.“
  • “They did a good job, but people need to park off the streets for them to plow better.”
  • “They did a fabulous job, just like the last 23 years I’ve lived in my house.”
  • “I’m happy now that a private plow driver came by and cleaned up the mess left by the township drivers. I guess like everything else the service you get depends on who lives in your neighborhood!”
  • “A plow came down our street one time since it snowed. It’s now a sheet of solid ice!”
  • “ My road could have better. But not because of the Twp. workers not doing my street. But because my neighbors parked their cars in the street. The plows couldn’t get around them.”
