West Deptford School District 2013-14 Calendar

When does school start for West Deptford students? How about winter and spring break? And when can students (and teachers) look forward to summer vacation?

With just about month to go until West Deptford schools are back in session, here’s a look at important dates in the 2013-14 school calendar.

Sept. 5: First day of school for students

Oct. 3: Half-day for students for teacher in-service

Oct. 14: School closed for Columbus Day

Nov. 4-8: School closed for students for teacher in-service and NJEA convention

Nov. 22, 25, 26: Half-days for middle schools students for parent-teacher conferences

Nov. 27: Half-day

Nov. 28-29: School closed for Thanksgiving break

Dec. 4: Half-day for teacher in-service

Dec. 10-13: Half-day for elementary students for parent-teacher conferences

Dec. 23-Jan. 1: Winter break

Jan. 7: Half-day for teacher in-service

Jan. 20: School closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Jan. 28-31: Half-days for high school students

Feb. 7: Half-day for teacher in-service

Feb. 17: School closed for Presidents Day

March 19: Half-day for teacher in-service

March 20-21: Half-day for elementary students for parent-teacher conferences

April 8: Half-day for teacher in-service

April 18-25: Spring break

May 16: Half-day for teacher in-service

May 16: School closed for Memorial Day

June 12, 13, 16: Half-days for high school

June 17: Half-day for all schools

June 18: Last day of school (half-day)

But don’t plan to leave for summer vacation on June 19 just yet. If schools close because of an emergency or weather, days will be tacked onto the end of the calendar.

The district will add up to three days, June 19-21, as school days before spring break will be shortened, starting with April 25 and working back.
