Westville Man Killed Woman In Her Home: Police
Jose L. Saez is accused of killing 53-year-old Patricia Dorman in her Westville home over the weekend.
WESTVILLE, NJ — A 38-year-old Westville man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a woman inside her home that took place over the weekend, according to authorities.
Jose L. Saez is accused of killing 53-year-old Patricia Dorman, of Westville, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office. Dorman’s body was found inside her home by Westville police, who were responding to reports of an unconscious person in the home on Broadway just before 1:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
An autopsy determined that Dorman’s cause of death was blunt force trauma and the manner of death was homicide, according to the prosecutor’s office.

Saez was arrested Tuesday afternoon after detectives investigating the case identified him as the suspect, according to authorities. He was arrested in Camden by members of U.S. Marshal’s NY-NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Camden County Sheriff’s Department. Saez was lodged in the Salem County Correctional Facility pending a detention hearing.
“The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office and the Westville Police Department, under the leadership of Chief William Whinna, have been working tirelessly since the inception of this investigation,” Acting Gloucester County Prosecutor Christine Hoffman said. “Through hard work, tenacity, and determination they promptly identified Saez as a suspect and developed key evidence linking him to the homicide. Patricia Dorman was well known by her neighbors and the cooperation and assistance from the Westville community was crucial in the arrest of Saez.”

Saez is charged with one count each of murder, felony murder, robbery, tampering, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose.
