Woodbury Mews Introduces Complimentary Classes for Seniors

Woodbury, N.J.. –Woodbury Mews, a Watermark Retirement Community, has released its Fall 2018 Watermark University catalog. Now through December, the community offers residents and area seniors more than 35 class and program options, from yoga and ballroom dancing to cooking instruction and poetry readings.

Classes are made available to Woodbury Mews residents and Gloucester County seniors because of the Woodbury Mews residents, associates, loved ones and guest experts who share their time and talents as instructors. Woodbury Mews Community Life Director Susan Sacks encourages area seniors to take advantage of these mostly complimentary classes.

“Watermark University allows us to open our doors to the community and invite area seniors to participate in our activities, which offer mind, body and spiritual enhancement and provide opportunities to build new friendships,” she said.

Area seniors can view the complete list of Fall 2018 Watermark University courses on the Woodbury Mews website at https://woodburymews.watermarkcommunities.com/. To RSVP, contact Sacks at 856-689-9018 about two weeks ahead of the course you would like to participate in. Participate in as many as you would like. Some meet on a weekly basis while others are offered once or as a short series.

Just in time for the holiday season, the Art of Candy Making class will teach you how to create a different sweet treat from scratch each month. The class runs the third Thursday of every month at 2 p.m. Another course, Drinks Around the World, offered two times on Oct. 25 and Dec. 26 at 4 p.m., will present seasonal drinks for tasting over a discussion about their origins. You may walk away with another item for your next party’s menu.
