Young West Deptford Actresses Shine in "Annie"

Sadie Lock and Miranda Zeno perform in "Annie" at the Walnut Street Theatre

Leapin’ Lizards! Young talent from right outside the West Depford region is featured in the Walnut Street Theatre’s production of the Tony-Award winning musical ANNIE, playing now through January 7.

Sadie Lock, an actress from Wenonah and a 5th grader at Friends School Mulliea Hill, plays the orphan Tessie in all weeknight performances of the musical. She returns to the Walnut after playing a Munchkin in last year’s production of The Wizard of Oz.

Lock previously performed off-Broadway, in New York, and with Stephen Schwartz and the Garden State Girls Choir at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia. In her free time, she enjoys to play guitar, cook, and ride horses.

Lock will be joined by Mickleton resident and student at Kingsway Regional Middle School, Miranda Zeno, who will be performing in the children’s ensemble for all weekend performances. Zeno was also seen last season as a Munchkin in The Wizard of Oz.

Zeno is also a member of the Swedesboro Performing Arts Company and regularly performs for local veterans and residence homes.
