19 Westfield High School Seniors Sign Letters of Intent

This brings the total number of WHS student-athletes in the 2017-2018 school year to 44 who will play sports at the college level.​

WESTFIELD, NJ — A total of 19 more Westfield High School seniors recently signed letters of intent with colleges and universities. This brings the total number of WHS student-athletes in the 2017-2018 school year to 44 who will play sports at the college level.

Participating in the National Letter of Intent signing ceremony on Wednesday, April 11 were:

  • Steven Barden, Montclair State University, Football
  • Jordan Barham, Montclair State University, Football
  • Olivia Carnevale, Dickinson College, Girls Tennis
  • Paige Dumont, University of Rochester, Girls Lacrosse
  • McKenna Edmondson, Washington & Lee University, Girls Lacrosse
  • Molly Jackson, Mount Saint Mary's University, Rugby
  • Jake Lerie, The College of New Jersey, Baseball
  • Matthew Manning, Montclair State University, Baseball
  • Mia Melao, Fairfield University, Girls Track & Field
  • Mark Natiello, Washington & Lee University, Boys Basketball
  • Stuart Pollock, Connecticut College, Boys Track & Field
  • Damien Ruparel, Amherst College, Boys Tennis
  • Daniel Russo, Ramapo College, Baseball
  • Joseph San Giacomo, University of Massachusetts-Amherst, Boys Track & Field
  • Luke Spellman, Dickinson College, Boys Basketball
  • Caroline Stockwell, University of Rochester, Girls Track & Field

“Westfield High School students continually attract college recruiters from around the country,” says Sandra Mamary, Supervisor of Athletics. “Approximately 22 percent of our senior student-athletes this year will participate collegiately, representing 19 different sports.”
