WESTFIELD, NJ — A grease fire was reported at Addams Tavern in Westfield on Tuesday afternoon.

The Westfield Fire Department was called to Addams Tavern at 115 Elm St. for an activated fire alarm.

Firefighters found a kitchen suppression system activated due to a grease fire, said Westfield Fire Chief Michael Duelks.

Firefighters checked for additional fire extension with the thermal imaging camera and helped with natural ventilation.

The Westfield health department was called to the scene.

No injuries were reported, said Duelks.
