Eat And Drink Like The Colonists At Westfield Tasting Event

WESTFIELD, NJ — Westfield is going to get "wet" — and historic — when revelers attend a tasting of tavern drinks and colonial-era beverages from 2 to 4 p.m. on Feb. 23. The colonial dinner and drink tasting is one of many events to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the town's founding this year.

The Westfield Historical Society and the Miller-Cory House Museum have planned the dinner and drink tasting event to be held at 16 Prospect Wine Bar Bistro.

Special recipes, provided by the Miller-Cory House Museum, will be prepared for sampling. And colonial history-inspired drinks will be sampled during a presentation of “Wet Westfield – A Virtual Pub Crawl” by the Westfield Historical Society’s Meg Wastie.

Attendees must be 21 or older. The admission fee is $40 per person.

The Westfield Historical Society, with the Miller-Cory House Museum, celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2018. Since 1968, the non-profit Westfield Historical Society has worked to preserve, interpret and encourage interest in history, Westfield, and its residents through educational efforts and community outreach programs.
