UPDATE: Westfield Seafood Is Back Open: Report
Coronavirus didn't doom his business, but a longtime fishmonger retired and sold the store. A new buyer reopened it.

WESTFIELD, NJ — Unlike with some small businesses, the owner of Westfield Seafood said that his sales picked up amid the coronavirus pandemic. But three weeks ago, he was preparing to sell the shop and retire, he said in a Dec. 1 interview with TAPInto Westfield.
Vince Bruns, 68, had owned Westfield Seafood for 36 years before deciding to retire.
Now the shop is back open with a new owner, according to a new report. (Read more here).

According to the shop's website, "The business, which originated as Bivona Fish Market in 1914, is now located next to the southside Westfield train station at 220 South Avenue West and has been owned and operated since 1984 by Vince Bruns. His daily 3 AM visits to the Fulton fishmarket in New York City bring a wide everchanging selection of the freshest fish from around the world to Westfield each day."
