WESTFIELD, NJ — After Walmart eCommerce CEO Marc Lore left that job in January, he moved on to a new venture that he's trying out in "affluent" Westfield, CNBC reported Thursday: His Wonder Truck mobile chef service.

The Wonder website says, "Incredible meals from some of the country’s best restaurants and chefs, prepared right outside your home. Currently piloting service in New Jersey."

The CNBC story quotes a Westfield resident as saying he's used the mobile service six or seven times, and he can get a fresh meal for a family of four for under $100. "Residents often move to the close-knit town in order to trade a cramped apartment for a spacious home to raise a family," notes the story. "Yet it’s likely that these families haven’t lost their craving for the fine dining options that are a convenient perk of city life."

However, a recent check of a Westfield Facebook page shows that residents have mixed feelings.

Some complained that the trucks started with just one well-off area of town. Another person said, "I hate walking around in the evening and hearing the trucks and smelling the exhaust." And a third asked why people wouldn't order from local restaurants instead of the trucks.

But a woman responded that she prefers the vegan food that the Wonder chef made to order, and another said she orders from many local restaurants in addition to the truck.
