Rt. 22 May Be Shut Down Through Evening Commute In Mountainside
Breaking: Route 22 East may be closed up as late as 7 p.m. following a serious three-car crash with an entrapment in Mountainside.
MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ — Route 22 East may be closed up as late as 7 p.m. following a serious three-car crash with an entrapment in Mountainside.
The accident involved a dump truck with a large diesel and hydraulic oil spill that needs to be cleaned by Haz Mat.
The crash was reported around 1 p.m. and the highway has been shut down ever since on the eastbound side from Lawrence Avenue to Glenside Avenue, Mountainside Police report.

Delays are being reported on both sides of the highway.
