Services Set For Union Father Of 4 Found In Burning Car
Walter Foster Jr., 54, of Union was the main provider for his family. He had worked at Arch Sunoco in Summit for 38 years.

UNION, NJ — Services have been set for a father of four from Union who died tragically on Feb. 2 and was found in a burning car in the township.
Walter Foster Jr., 54, was the main provider for his family and leaves behind his wife Tracy (nee Perillo) and four children Chad (Katrina), Ashley, Summer and Zoe.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Bradley Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave. in Union.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10:15 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Union. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
Foster Jr. was born in Irvington but lived his whole life in Union. He worked at Arch Sunoco in Summit for 38 years.

He was the son of Walter Sr. and Connie Foster, siblings, Mary Jean Chadwick (Robert), Linda DeGeorge (Michael) Patricia Klein (Ori), Nancy Foster (Joseph), Diane Foster; 22 nieces and nephews; 3 great nieces and nephews.
A fundraiser has been set up by Foster's nephew Thomas Chadwick on GoFundMe "to honor Walter's memory and lighten the burden of his family during this enormously difficult and challenging time."
"The funds will be utilized to pay for Walter's burial services and for his family's expenses during their transition time of being without their main provider's income such as mortgage, grocery and medical bills," the site stated.

A Union Township Police Officer spotted the fire at around 4 a.m. at the Ideal Professional Building complex on Lousons Road near Morris Avenue causing fire and emergency officials to respond.
That is when authorities located the body inside. (See Related: Body Found Inside Burning Car In Union County)
The cause and manner of Foster's death, as well as the source of the fire, remain under active investigation by the Union County Homicide Task Force and the Union Township Police Department, Union County Sheriff's Office's Crime Scene Unit and Union County Arson Task Force.
