WESTFIELD, NJ — Farinolio, a Tuscan Bakery, opened on Tuesday in the downtown area of Westfield.

A Tuscany native Francesco Colbertaldo and Annette Colbertaldo of Basking Ridge opened Farinolio 121 E. Broad St. The bakery offers an authentic experience and the simplicity of a Tuscan menu filled with unique items from 'schiacciata' to 'brioscia' and tapas.

"I had always thought that eating is not about eating but experiencing food, discovering its roots, connecting with its sources and sharing that appreciation for the good and simple things in life," Colbertaldo wrote on Farinolio's Facebook page.
