WEA Social and Gift Chairperson Tamara Zuckerman joined Alston and others in arranging for the boxed lunches for nearly 1,000 staff members.
“We have been in school from the beginning of September, giving 100% to our students,” says
Alston. “The WEA will continue to be a positive part of the school district. We will continue to
make sure that our students always come first.”
Superintendent Dr. Margaret Dolan thanked the WEA for this generous outreach.
“I can speak best for Elm Street when I say those sandwiches seemed to lift the spirits of a
number of very tired staff members and, hopefully, this effort also supports local restaurants,”
says Dolan.
