Westfield Health Board To Hold Virtual Session On Covid Vaccines
Health and hospital officials will answer questions about how to register, the types of vaccines, and other resident questions.
WESTFIELD, NJ — Westfield residents can join a virtual session this Tuesday to ask any questions they have about the vaccines for coronavirus and how to register for an appointment. See the links below to register for the session.
The Westfield Regional Board of Health is hosting the vaccination webinar at 7 p.m.

Dr. Janice Baker and Dr. Brittni Alexander from Overlook Family Practice will join the Health Department in this open forum. You should register in advance here.
The team will address questions such as: How to register, the different types of vaccines, side effects and efficacy, local plans to distribute the vaccines, and others.

Meanwhile, with doses of the new Johnson and Johnson coronavirus vaccine sent to hospitals around New Jersey last week, people are beginning to see more availability for vaccine appointments statewide. The state is currently offering the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines and the new Johnson and Johnson.
Last week, five new vaccine locations were added to a list of Union County sites, including an Acme supermarket, a Stop & Shop, and three new ShopRites. See Patch's updated list from Friday here.
Seniors in Union County can call this number if they have no computer access: 908-613-7829, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 to 1 on Saturday.
