WESTFIELD, NJ – After a nor'easter dumped more than a foot of snow in North Jersey from Wednesday afternoon to early Thursday, local shutterbugs sent photos. See the photo by Robert Fishberg above, and Bill Steele's ice closeup below.
Over the course of the storm, Union County got more than 8 inches of snow in some areas, according to Accuweather. Spotters reported that Westfield got 5.6 inches and Cranford got 6.4. Read more: Who got the most snow
The Accuweather forecast for Westfield (linked here) doesn't indicate snow in the forecast for this week, although last week, they said the area might be in for a white Christmas. Now, forecasters believe Westfield will have a wet and windy Christmas Eve.
