Westfield Seniors Group Offers Webinar On Improving Diet

Lifelong Westfield will host the virtual seminar Wednesday on improving your diet for health and wellness through the Mediterranean Diet.

WESTFIELD, NJ — Did you know that the Mediterranean Diet can help lower the risk of a heart attack or stroke and contribute to improved cardiovascular health?

You can learn about this and other ways to improve your long-term health and wellness in a new webinar sponsored by Lifelong Westfield entitled “Improving Your Diet For Your Long-Term Health & Wellness.”

The webinar will be taught by Dr. Karen Ensle, a Family and Community Health Sciences Educator and Department Head of the Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Union County.

During this virtual event, participants will learn about foods in the diet that can contribute to improved heart health and overall well-being.

“We’re excited to present a local expert on diet and nutrition to help provide Westfield seniors with information about living a healthier lifestyle,” said Ward 3 Councilman and Council Liaison to Lifelong Westfield David Contract. “This is an important part of our mission to help Westfield seniors successfully age in place.”

The webinar will be held on Wednesday, June 30, at 1 p.m. on Zoom.
