Westfield Summer Road Repairs Roll On. See What Is Next
With more than 90 roads and 18 miles of paving planned for 2019, keep up to date on where crews will be working.
WESTFIELD, NJ - Westfield's summer of road improvements continues as multiple roads are being taken out of service for resurfacing and ADA upgrades.
Over the last nine years, the Town has paved an average of approximately four miles of roadway each year. This year, that figure will rise to more than eight total miles, 31 roads, marking an unprecedented effort in this area. In addition to the municipal paving efforts, the Town also announced an agreement with Elizabethtown Gas in which the utility will pave 9.82 miles of roadway on 59 roads that it has disrupted as part of its ongoing maintenance and repair work in various parts of Town over the course of the past 18 months.
In addition to the Town and Elizabethtown Gas Company paving projects below, please be advised that the County will begin the paving of Lamberts Mill Road, between West Broad and Rahway on Aug. 26 for approximately 11 nights. The road will be closed from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
