2 Hospitalized After West Babylon House Fire

The blaze broke out at the Plymouth Street home Thursday night.

WEST BABYLON, NY — Two people were hospitalized after a blaze broke out at a West Babylon home Thursday night, according to Suffolk police.

The fire occurred at a Plymouth Street home at 6:40 p.m.

A man, who was rescued by a neighbor and an off-duty volunteer firefighter, was transported to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow with non-life-threatening injuries.

In addition, a woman was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip with non-life-threatening injuries.

A dog in the home was not injured.
